Apparently I'm a Graphic Designer...

This weekend, Marcie of To Read or Not To Read tweeted that she was in the market for a new layout. I was bored, so I volunteered to create a custom one for her. I've never made a layout for anyone for myself before, so this was an interesting challenge. However, upon completion I was EXTREMELY proud of the results. You can see her blog by clicking here.

What do you think?

I then went on to make new nav buttons and post-header images for Squeaky Books. Those of you viewing in feed readers should come to the ACTUAL site and see them. Thoughts?

And after all this, I thought to myself, "Self, if one person will pay to do to this? Will others?"

I want to find out!

That's right! I am now, officially, a blog designer! But one layout isn't really a good portfolio. Time to fix this.

I'd like to give away 5 header images to people. That way I can FINALLY do an international giveaway, AND I can build up my portfolio. These headers be 100% custom. I'll work with you to make everything just perfect for your site.

And of course, if you don't want to take the chance that the random generator chooses you, you are more than welcome to contact me and purchase a header (headers cost $10):
Anyone interested? I guess we'll see.

In summary:
  • I'm giving away 5 custom blog headers to 5 people, a $50 value!
  • Winners will be chosen and announced 11-22-10

  1. That's ironic. Right now I am doing a second hand Saturday where graphics people can gain super-many mondo-points for e-mailing me requesting info (+20 points the week you e-mail me) and if we agree on working together you get (+50 points for any week of your choosing per design.

If you are interested I would love to see you enter as I adore your blogs design!

  2. You did such a good job on Marcie's blog! I sure hope I win this!!!*crosses fingers and toes*

  3. Aw, I'm too late to enter. I've been trying to redesign my blog for ages, but I just can't figure it all out. I love your blog's layout and what you did for Marcie's! How about posting some tips for us - not giving away all your secrets, of course - so maybe we computer-illiterate people could get the hang of it?

  4. Wow, my comment really shows just how crazy my weeks and deadlines have been lately! I am not in fact too late to enter, and I am rushing over to enter right now!

  5. Oh, how fun! The "To Read or Not to Read" header was very cute. Good luck in your new venture!

Thank you so much for commenting! I read each and every one.
